Etter Byron Bay tok jeg en tjuefire-timers lang busstur til Whitsundays for å møte fellesreise-gruppen igjen. Nå var vi alle klare for to netter på en yacht gjennom Real Aussie & Kiwi Adventures. To dager fylte med fine soloppganger og solnedganger, bra folk og nydelige utsikter.
/ It took me twenty-four hours on a bus to get from Byron Bay to Whitsundays. Here I met the Kilroy group for some rad two nights on a yacht through Real Aussie & Kiwi Adventures. These two days were filled with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, awesome people and gorgeous views.
Før vi gikk på båten måtte alt backpackerutstyret ompakkes fordi det kun var lov med to håndbagasjer. I tillegg kjøpte vi med oss litt pils og chips for å kose oss om bord!
/ Before we entered the boat, we had to leave some of our luggage because it was only allowed with two hand luggages. Also, we bought with us some chips and beer of course. Living the simple life on the boat!
I løpet av de to nettene og de to dagene besøkte vi blant annet Whitehaven Beach (bilder kommer i separat innlegg), snorklet med fisker og hadde et solnedgangsparty på en helt vilkårlig strand. Om morgenen stod jeg opp tidlig for å se soloppgangen og på kvelden samlet alle seg på dekk.
/ During the two nights and two days, we visited Whitehaven Beach (another post is coming up), we snorkeled with fishes and we had lots of fun during sunset on a totally random beach. We got up early in the morning to watch the sunrise, and everyone gathered on board in the evening.
Det var veldig deilig å kunne ligge i ro på bord, med solhatten på snei og lytte til bølgene. Sitte på kanten av båten med føttene ned mot saltvannet. Finne roen i takt med sjøen er noe helt spesielt, og særlig her i Whitsundays.
/ Chilling on board wearing a sunhat and listening to the waves, it’s pretty special. I loved sitting on the edge of the boat and feeling the saltwater against my skin. Finding peace with the ocean is something so unique that it for sure has to be experienced. Go Whitsundays!
