Sist onsdag nøt jeg atmosfæren som strøket The Rocks tilbyr gjennom Sydney’s historiske senter. Det er flere butikker, kafeer og fotomuligheter, så selvfølgelig tok jeg kameraet med meg.
/ Last Wednesday, I soaked up the atmosphere of the Rocks on this stroll through Sydney’s historic centre. There are lots of shops, cafe and photo opportunities in this area, so of course I brought my camera with me.
Jeg startet ved Circular Quay og sluttet der. Jeg fikk sett Cadman’s Cottage, Campbell’s Storehouses, Dawes Point, Arthur Payne’s House, Argyle Cut, Suez kanelen og Sydney Opera House. Hele strøket er jo gammeldags, og slik jeg liker det; med historie.
/ I started by Circular Quay and ended there. I got to see Cadman’s Cottage, Campbell’s Storehouses, Dawes Point, Arthur Payne’s House, Argyle Cut, the Suez Canal and the Sydney Opera House. This area is so old and iconic, I just love it.
Jeg spiste frokost på en kafé i The Rocks som kalles The Fine Food Store. Tilbyr masse organisk mat og ligger like ved The Rocks Museum. Senere tok jeg meg en øl på Hero of Waterloo, Australias eldste pub som også ligger i området. Deilig avslutning på turen før jeg gikk til Royal Botanic Garden.
/ I ate breakfast at a cafeteria in the The Rocks called The Fine Food Store. It offers organic food and is located just by The Rocks Museum. Later on I grabbed a bear at Hero of Waterloo, a contender for the title of Australia’s oldest pub. A lovely end on my walk before I headed to the Royal Botanic Garden.
