Surfing And Skydiving

Under oppholdet i Byron Bay var jeg med på både 3-dagers surfekurs med Mojo og fallskjermhopp med Skydive Australia. Med andre ord ble de første dagene fylt med ekstremsport og mye spenning.

/ I did a three-day surf camp with Mojo and skydiving with Skydive Australia during the stay in Byron Bay. In other words, the first few days were quite exciting!

Siden jeg allerede har surfet i Cape Town og Bali trengte jeg ikke spesiell opplæring under surfecampen i Australia. Likevel er det utrolig sosialt å bli med på surfecampen til Mojo. Man møter reisende fra hele verden og får selvfølgelig slik nye venner. Jeg liker Mojo godt fordi man blir fraktet til og fra stranden hvor man skal surfe og får undervisning ut fra hvilket nivå man er på. Anbefales!

/ Since I have already surfed in Cape Town and Bali, I did not need special training during the surf camp in Australia. Nevertheless, it is incredibly social to join the Mojo surf camp. You meet travelers from all over the world and get new friends to share the experience with. Mojo pick you up before heading to the beach, and you’ll get instructions according to your surf skill level.

Dagen etter jeg fullførte surfecampen stod jeg opp klokken 5 for å hoppe ut av et fly. Jeg ble hentet av Skydive Australia og fraktet til området hvor vi skulle gjøre fallskjermhoppet. For meg var fallskjermhoppet litt metaforisk for hva jeg skal gjøre resten av livet: Ikke tenke så mye. Bare gjøre. Ikke tenke så mye konsekvenser. Fordi man lander jo uansett?

/ The day after I finished the surf camp, I got up at 5am to jump out of a plane. I was picked up by Skydive Australia and transported to the area where we were going to do the skydiving. To me, the jump was a bit metaphorical for what I’ll do the rest of my life: Don’t not think so much. Just do. Don’t think so much about the consequences. Because really, I’ll land anyway.
